The short version
Kimiya has no accounts and no analytics, and we don't collect your personal data. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, which may collect some data as described under Advertising below. Kimiya Pro removes all ads.
What stays on your device
Your language choice, settings, quiz scores and saved experiments are stored only in the app on your device. Deleting the app deletes them.
Camera
The optional AR mode uses the camera solely to place the 3D lab bench on a surface. No images are recorded, stored or sent anywhere.
Advertising
The free version of Kimiya shows ads from Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK). People who bought Kimiya Pro never see ads.
To show and measure ads, Google may collect: your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you allow tracking; an approximate location derived from your IP address; advertising data, such as which ads were shown and how you interacted with them; and diagnostic data, such as crash and performance information. Google uses this data for third-party advertising: showing ads, limiting how often you see them, measuring them and preventing fraud. We don't share your quiz scores, experiments or settings with Google or advertisers. The app also downloads its ad settings from our server; that request doesn't include your account or anything you saved in the app.
Your choices: iOS asks whether Kimiya may track you. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, ads still appear but without your advertising identifier, and you can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app first asks for your consent with Google's consent form, and you can change your choice at any time from “Ad privacy choices” in the app's settings. Purchases
The one-time Kimiya Pro purchase is processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We receive no payment details.
Children
Kimiya is suitable for all ages. We don't collect personal information from anyone; the ads in the free version work as described under Advertising.
